Hachiro had his arms rested on the magnificent, golden bridge's, the one that formed a graceful arch across the waterfall beneath him, railing. His chin rested on his hands, admiring the beautiful town's view with blue-green eyes. Majestic buildings - shop, houses, etc. - rested on the stone and lush hills, a waterfall separating the two sides - the main town and the houses. That's where the bridge came in, connecting the two parts. The lake stretched out below the waterfall.
Though most leaders preferred to stay in their capitals, he enjoyed the serenity of the Gang Village. The people were friendly and the shops bright, and, when the time was just right, the buildings seemed to shine with a golden color.
His puppy stood beside him, one he had recently taken in. He had found the young guy at the edge of the tribe's territory, sickly and malnourished. Hachi had adopted him, then, deciding to call him Yuuki. From then on, the small, brown and white puppy had followed him wherever he went.
He narrowed his eyes as he spotted something moving - a small figure growing bigger as she made her way up the tiny-looking trail that lead from the lake to the village, just along the waterfall. He waited until she was almost towards the edge of town, before walking swiftly towards her, Yuuki close behind.

I bit the inside of my lip as I devoted most of my attention to the dog— bad idea considering that my lip had a bleeding cut now. I absently sucked on the lip, trying to make it heal faster. "Pff! Some people are pretty daft here," I muttered to myself before giving a little wiggle of pale fingers. The grass poking up at the end of the bridge rose, long stalks growing and tangling as they reached for me. They came to an abrupt stop a few inches behind my head. I gave a tired yawn and blinked at him.
"My circus tricks are little entangling for little minds." A small flick of my wrist and the grass shrunk back down, as if it had been scolded. A small shiver slithered down my body as the power slipped away, the crackling feeling in my fingertips disappearing like a lost thought. My gaze slid over to the puppy again. I was only halfheartedly listening to the man as I stared at the dog. I probably looked like I was going to eat it.
"Tatiana Mikhailovich. Pardon my Korean, but you might get an indication from my name that I'm originally not native here." I swung my foot back and forth as I stared at him. I shrugged my shoulders at him. "I don't need permission to be here." I stopped for a moment. Oh yes, there was something I was looking for. "Nymphaea caerulea. I'm looking for it." I didn't know how to say its name in Korean. Blue water lily. "I also want to pet your dog. I like dogs."
Hachiro slowed as he neared her, catching ight of her pointed teeth. Another dragon. Maybe I'm some sort of dragon magnet. He almost laughed at the foolish thought, running his slender fingers along the red stone that bordered one side of the narrow path, just wide enough that carts for trading could make their way up it.
"Circus tricks?" He frowned, halting a few feet away. He glanced down at Yuuki, who seemed even more curious than Hachi was, looking up at her with a tilted head and wide, brown eyes. "Why would I expect anything of the like from you?" He glanced back at her, regarding the girl. She was smaller and clearly younger, but not by much. Her dirty blonde hair was tucked into a messy bun, and she had on a summer dress. The tribe leader had never minded the cold too much, but he would never where that in such weather.
"Who are you?" He asked, eyes narrowed in slight suspicion. As long as she wasn't planning to create commotion in his tribe, he wouldn't have too much of a problem with her. "What's your business here?"

"It seems you haven't come here before, then," he gave a small laugh, looking down as Yuuki took a seat. He was still young and became tired easily. He watched as the girl caused the grass to grow, but frightened and surprised expressions failed to cross his features. He had seen Shin-ah mess with water enough times.
"I can see that," he looked back at her. The girl's accent was different than most of the native's, which he had become used to. His mother hadn't been Korean, though his father had been. His mother had come for the beautiful views and surroundings, as well as the wildlife and lush plants.
Tatiana. It wasn't a Korean name. "Dragon of the Earth tribe, I'm guessing?" There was no other explanation for her powers. "I'm Hachiro. You have heard of me, yes?" He laughed at her words. "Perhaps that is the case, but the villagers don't need permission to attack, do they?" He asked. "If you didn't know, they don't. And they fear the sight of a dragon, especially from another tribe. And if you know what fear does to people, you should know that it isn't too pretty," he shrugged.
"A flower? Yes, they are native here," he nodded. In fact, he knew just where they grew. "Go ahead, you can pet him." He gave her a nod, picking him up and placing him in her arms. "As long as you don't run off with him. His name is Yuuki."

I didn't really expect to see any emotion from him, considering this guy had the brain capacity of a potato. "If you can see my bad grammar, then you might need to see yourself to a correct word choice." I let out a giggle. I'd probably messed up half those words, but the notion of me correcting him was still rather laugh worthy. Father had been a grammar Nazi, or perhaps a grammar soviet to be in balance with heritage.
My mother was Korean though. Passing along the soft down turn in the eye region, leaving me with monolids. I blinked at him with raised brows. "Why would I know who you are? You look like any regular Asian kid to me." I gave him a blank stare, trying to figure out who he was. "You people think that just because I'm a dragon that I know everyone around. I'm not freaking Ded Moroz!" A little slip of Russian came out as I ranted. I let out a sigh and stared at him.
My annoyed expression slipped off into a glimmering smile as the puppy was placed in my grasp. I let out squeal and plopped onto the ground, rather ungracefully at that. I gently stroked the dog's head as I stared back into its big eyes. "Yuki ! Privet malysh , kak ty? Vy ochen' milo. Yavlyayetsya li eto bol'shoy plokhoy chelovek otnositsya k tebe tak li?"
Hachiro shrugged, raising his hands defensively. He got along well with most people, but today he was especially cheerful. After all, he had just rescued a puppy. He raised a hand to shade his eyes as he gazed up a nearby hill, a familiar area catching his eye. His mother had taken him there everyday, before she had gotten sick, to teach him of plants and flowers. He hadn't been there in a long time. He turned back to Tatiana, resting his hands behind his neck. "Have you ever seen a sakura tree?" he inquired.
He snorted. "I'm not a kid, mind you," he replied, cocking one slender, pale eyebrow. "I lead this tribe. The tribe of Mul," he corrected her. He didn't know her language, so he ignored her next sentence., and watched as she settled down on the ground with Yuuki. The puppy plopped onto her lap, staring up at her with curious chocolate eyes. He knew some of the simple Korean words, but nothing in Russian.
He sat down on a flat piece of rock, letting his legs dangle down the side as he listened to her words, even if he didn't understand them.

" Ty pochti tak khorosha, kak tsvetok, Yuki . YA khotel by prosto vzyat' tebya domoy vmeste so mnoy. " I smiled playfully at the puppy, talking softly to it. I looked back up to Hachiro, still smiling wildly. "Sa-kur-a? What language is that even? I've never seen that sort of tree as far as I know." I furrowed my brows, trying to remember ever hearing such things.
"Kids tell themselves that they aren't kids. I'm a kid and I do all that tribe leading stuff." I twirled a finger around a lose strand of hair as my attention fully broke from the puppy. "You should show me that weirdly named tree. I like plants." I wasn't blessed with the skill of being able to use effective descriptions, but what mattered as long as my point got across.
I reluctantly put the puppy down as I stood up. I reached into the air with my arms, stretching my bony, little figure. "Up and at 'em. We're going to go see that tree."
"Yes. Sakura. I believe you'll enjoy them," one corner of his mouth slid into a smile. "Tribe leading stuff? You lead your tribe?" He grunted, slightly confused. "Isn't that the job of the leader of the Earth tribe?" He inquired. Perhaps there wasn't a leader. He didn't know of their beliefs and customs.
Hachiro laughed as he stood, clasping his fingers behind his back. "I'll show you how to get to your flowers, too. They're both in the same general area." He waited until she was done stretching before he began making his way past the arched bridge, heading up the hill and into the trees. The way was well known to him - he could never forget it.
Yuuki followed after them, a puppy-like grin planted on his face. "Whats it like being a dragon?" He asked as they entered the trees, breaking the silence. The sakura trees took a little walking to get to.

All I did was quirk a brow and give a little nod. At his mention of my statement, I gave a grumpy sigh. "Our tribe is more of an empire. We had royals, but they died and left us with a brain dead princess who can't even walk without tripping. If we left major decisions to her, we'd all be dead." I finished, tired of speaking so much. I groaned a little and looked over. "We'd be better off having Yuuki lead us."
My head jerked up as he mentioned my flowers. I clenched my fists and nodded excitedly like a child getting a bowl of candies and sweets. "Let's go! Let's hurry!" I stared at the man expectantly, eyes narrowed. I hardly held back a squeal as he started moving, following after on my short legs.
"Being a dragon?" I despised that question. I'd been asked it by children, by strangers, by concerned adults and it always got me the same answer, 'Wow, that's cool. I wish I was a dragon!' You didn't want to be a dragon. "For me its a lot of mouth cuts," I said, pausing to bare my sharp teeth. "When you use a power, it's like you get a surge of adrenaline that melds with your bones. It then melts off like snow, making you shiver. You don't feel a lot of things either, but maybe that's just me."
He looked back at her in interest. A princess? "Was she the heir to the throne before..all this happened?" He asked, expecting Tatiana knew what he meant. Even if she had been born after everything went into chaos, as he had, there were still so many stories of it. Besides, the tribes had a certain tension over who would get the throne and who wouldn't. If this princess was the heir, he certainly didn't want a brain dead queen.
Hachiro laughed. "That's what we're doing." He picked up the pace anyways, leading them through the forest, shadows dancing across his back from the leaves blowing in the wind. He chuckled at her statement of mouth cuts, glancing back to see her sharp teeth. If she thought he wanted to be a dragon, she was certainly wrong. He was perfectly happy, and he wouldn't want that extra burden. Yuuki ran ahead as if he knew the way, which, of course, he didn't. He hadn't been to the sakura grove in years, and he didn't thing anyone had. It was unknown to everyone besides himself and his mother, whom was dead.
The path grew wider as the neared the top of the cliff. Once they were at the top, he took a much smaller, unnoticeable trail down the other side. He continued walking until they reached a large, flat rock formation hanging over the isolated section of the lake, the part that was barely inhabited by humans. The land had a small stream that ran to the edge and fell off in a small waterfall, and the bright blue splashes of color, the flower Tatiana had been looking for, sat in a small pool where the creek had originated.
The trees were sakura trees, of course. Cherry blossom. The petals lined the path that led to the edge of a cliff, where a small stone bench sat. It had been set there by none other than himself and his mother, so they could sit and watch the lake with the trees surrounding them. It was beautiful. He picked his way among the grass until he reached the bench, gracefull sitting down. "Like it?"

I shrugged and gave him a sideways glance. "To hell if I knew or cared. Her family is dead and she's an idiot. Thank the sky that I don't sleep indoors. She radiates so much stupid that I'm pretty sure I'd catch it like a disease." I looked away, the thought of the girl putting me in a bad mood. Why did he need to know so much. Not like he was going to marry the girl.
The path had stopped and so had I. I took it all in, sucking a silent breath to feed my lungs. I almost thought I'd completely stopped functioning at the sight of the oasis. The air was electric with life, the chatter of animals and small bugs roaming around restlessly. I felt it connect with myself, sparks of powers sliding through my limbs. I stood, body rigid. I blinked once before taking strong strides to the flower, kicking off the thin, blue flats that had been covering my feet. My steps were cushioned by the grass that tickled and poked at my toes excitedly.
It felt so warm here. As if it could be summer instead of winter. I squatted, hovering over the backs of my legs. I reached out and stroked a petal with my finger. I picked up the flower, heavy lily pad trying to follow after but with a snap of my fingers it folded down into a short stem for the flower. The excess water fell away quickly and I tucked it in behind my ear. I looked back over, my expression soft and warm. "It's amazing," I breathed.
The sakura grove had clearly grown more since he had last been there, but it was still as beautiful as ever. The trees seemed to cast a soft, pink light on his face as he gazed around, birdsong filling his ears. He hadn't been there in such a long time - it felt like a piece of his mother and his childhood was returned to him. The place seemed almost magical, a never-ending summer.
When he turned away from Tatiana, she seemed frozen and speechless. But when he turned back towards her, she was making her way towards him, and for once her expression was soft - like when she had been holding Yuuki. And she had a lily tucked behind her ear. He blinked rapidly, flustered. She looks beautiful, he thought, giving her a small smile.
He beckoned for her to come with him as he sat on the stone bench, gazing out at the land below them. Yuuki jumped up between them, and he scratched his head. "Don't try planting that where you live, as far as. I know, it only grows here," he gave her an attractive grin, before looking away.

I brushed my bangs from my face as I followed, grass tugging at my heels as I moved away, begging for me to stay so it may grow along my legs and arms to encase me. A bench made of concrete, however unnatural to the surroundings as it was, my smile grew as I looked at the ivy that had crawled up its sides and back. It would be made a part of this habitat via the greenery that slithered up its sides for many years.
I sat down, feet barely touching the ground. If I sat up, they dangled off. I probably did look like a child. I looked over to hear him speak. I only let out a small chuckle at his notion. "I could make this flower grow just by the own nutrients of my hair if I wanted. I can make anything grow as long as I treat it properly." I reached up absentmindedly and stroked a silky petal with my index finger. "I want to collect all the flowers in the world and grow them. The flower can be ugly or gorgeous, I don't care." I could sleep here, just collapse into the soft grass and hibernate for an eternity.
My brows furrowed. His face changed. Somehow it did. His expression took on a certain appeal to it, the upturn of his lips more enticing and more appreciative. I tossed it away, not daring to call it attractive. "If I fall asleep out here, don't by all means necesarry, take me indoors. I can't sleep indoors."
Hachiro kicked off his own shoes, wanting to be able to feel the soft, knowing feel of the grass tickling his toes. "Right. I almost forgot you have the power of a dragon," he looked sideways at her. Yuuki gazed up at the two of the, before nudging Tatiana and licking her hand. The pale-haired man laughed. "He likes you."
"Does that mean you could make a patch of wildflowers grow out of your head?" He laughed at the thought. "All of the flowers? Would you start a garden?" He inquired. He liked plants as well, his mother had taught him the ways of nature and their healing attributes, but certainly not as much as she did. "I'll help you, if you like. We could make a garden up here," he suggested - after all, he couldn't cross into her land like she could his - making sure not to let the embarrassment show.
"Oh? Do I make you sleepy?" He gave her a small, teasing smile.
