Hachiro smiled and gave a small laugh as he shook his head. "Wouldn't dream of it." He answered, following her towards the entrance of the bathhouse, slim hands clasped behind his back. He sat down beside her. "Yes, that is his name," he replied with a nod. The man had met the dragon of every tribe, except for the Fire Tribe's dragon.
"Again, I'm sorry for... that," he laughed nervously, sliding a hand into his hair and scratching the back of his neck.
Haku was relieved that Hachiro wasn't going to tell anyone. Ugh, I could just imagine what Ryuuki-chan's reaction would be. He would never let me hear the end of it. That made her shiver slightly. Maybe it was because she just got out of the bath. Some bath that was.. Poor Hachiro was getting things thrown at him. Haku was wiped out from all of that confusion and rage at the same time. Hachiro answered her, saying that his dragon was named Shin-ah.
So, it was Shin-ah.. Suddenly, it grew silent until Hachiro started to laugh and apologize for walking in the girls' bath. Haku chuckled to herself and shook her head, smiling at him. "You don't have to apologize. I feel bad for throwing everything at you that I could get my hands on. I guess... I'm not that good with people. I'm sorry."
Hachiro shrugged. "You seem as good with people as anyone I've met," he gave her a smile. "I'm sure anyone would have reacted the same." He gazed out at the Lighting Tribe, wishing that he'd brought Yuuki. Instead, he'd left the puppy at home, and he found himself missing him.
"How has your tribe been faring?" He inquired crossing his arms behind his neck as he leaned back. He turned his head slightly towards Haku, eyes questioning.
Hm... That was a first. He thought she was good with people. "You don't know me as well as others. They would tell you stories." Haku nodded, agreeing that anyone would have reacted like she did. It was pure instinct, but she did jump to conclusions rather quickly. That was one of her negative habits. The Fire Tribe leader looked outside with Hachiro, having her own opinions to describe the Lightning Tribe. Oh, yeah! Haku turned back to Hachiro and started to say something. "Hey- Oh, um..." She blushed a little as they both started to talk at once. My tribe? Oh, we're doing alright. Um... You sounded like you were looking for me before. Did you need something?"
"Hm." He glanced at her in slight disbelief. "I doubt it. They're myths," he gave a small smile, turning his head so he could see the Lightning tribe's land. "That's good. We're doing nicely as well. If you don't mind me asking, what is your tribes job?" He inquired. "I'm sorry, that may have sounded rude, but I didn't mean it in that way."
At her question, he nodded. It would be a little odd to tell her exactly why he had come, but she seemed to know he had come looking for her. "I was looking to form an alliance between our two tribes," he tilted his head, looking back towards her. "As you know, these are rough times. It would help us both if we worked together."
Hakunai leaned in closer towards Hachiro, staring into his eyes. She sat back in her seat and crossed her long, beautiful legs. The right leg over the left. "Oh? How do you know that for sure? Did you converse with the villagers?" It would surprise her that they didn't say much about her and her short temper. Maybe if he met Ryuuki-chan. That would be different. Ryuuki-chan would probably look around for her before talking about her. He knew how much that annoyed her, even though it was true.
Hachiro was being curious and asked her what her tribe's job was. "Do you mean in producing and distributing goods? Fire Tribe is known for its weapons." Hakunai was proud to be in the tribe known for its weapons. That meant most people would visit there to check the weapons out and purchase them. That also meant they would have to keep a close eye if they had big crowds. Someone could easily sneak by with a weapon without paying for it. The other tribes also had advantages against Fire Tribe as well with its items in stock.
Hakunai brushed her black hair back and put her elbow on the arm of the chair, pressing her hand against her cheek. She stared off in the distant in deep thought about what Hachiro was requesting from her. Her red eyes wandered back to Hachiro and she lifted her head up from her hand, looking to the leader. "You know, fire and water do not mix well together. We could be tricky with ourselves. I suppose I could dwell on that request for a little bit longer.
I don't see the problem with helping each other out for the time being... But, you can never be too sure."
"I don't know for sure," he laughed, and it was clear he had become comfortable around Hakunai. He didn't see any guards around her, so he didn't need to be wary. He knew it wouldn't break out into fighting, considering how they were speaking with each other.
"Weapons? Hm. That sounds interesting," he replied, wondering what the other tribes were known for exactly. "I may have to stop by some time - do you think you could show me them in the future? I want to learn how to use another type of weapon, or even get a new blade. I only have one, and if I were to lose it, that would not be very good," he chuckled.
"That's true, but, you know, my people aren't technically water." He gave a small laugh. "They're all just people. We're getting along fine." He shrugged. "Anyways, if we did agree on this, I'd allow your villagers passage to the docks for water, as I'm guessing you don't have the most abundance of it where you live?"
Losing his weapon would not be good... especially if he was going to use it for attacking Fire Tribe. Hakunai had to stay on her guard and plan things in her mind. She had to be ready for anything if they were to form alliances. It would only be a pact for the time being. Then, one of them would probably turn against the other. The black-haired girl giggled to herself and nodded. "Yes! Of course, they are not water people."
It was just a saying that she was including. Fire and water working together. It was strange but it could work somehow. And, it wasn't like her tribe was filled with fire people. They might have a burning fire in their hearts for being passionate and determined, but they were not made of it. "That would be a nice offer... And in exchange? What would you like from the Fire Tribe? Say, if we were to agree on this like you said."
Hachiro smiled, then tilted his head at her offer, thinking. "Hmmm, you said your 'specialty' was in weapons? Perhaps we could use your weapons," he suggested. Another thought struck him. "We could trade food, as well. It's in the middle of winter and food is pretty scarce, but the fish is running pretty well with us. We could trade, perhaps?" He suggested.
"I would like to form alliances. It would help both of our tribes get by, but..." Hakunai sighed and wished she could do more. The offers to each tribe was fairly decent. Hachiro would help her if she helped him. It was pretty simple that they were both going to have it good if they agreed on it. I would like to take him up on that offer but maybe I could keep him waiting for a little bit longer. She thought deeply about it, thinking of events further ahead that could happen. "If you don't mind, I would like to think on it for a while. I will try to get you an answer as soon as I can. So... are we done here?"
