MAPS CAN BE POEMS WHEN YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN | Perhaps climbing could be my new hobby. I hung my tongue out, laughing at the bandit that paced around the base of the oak. I waved a small hand at him before jerking to my left to avoid a stone that he threw up towards me. "Rude!" I yelled before situating myself back against the tree. Teasing people was my forte and what I passed time with.
Although tricking bandits was a little more high risk than my usual trickery. My legs dangled loosely over open air as I smiled down at the man, a burly man he was. A hwandudaedo hung from his hand, the blade deformed and serrated. It would snap before cutting entirely through the thick tree trunk.
I leaned forwards to reach for a butterfly that flitted past my shoulder, but started to fall forwards. My arm swung back, reaching desperately for the branch. My hand hooked onto it as I looked down to see the burly man pleasurably running a finger along the handle of his sword. "Well this is awkward," I muttered as I struggled to keep my loosening grip.

Hakunai growled to herself angrily and kicked the ground out of frustration. This is great! Just great! I'm lost. The Fire Tribe leader continued to walk through the forest, looking around for a path that would send her in the direction of the capital. How could Nam make rounds to each tribe without getting lost? Well, he was more familiar with them than her. She just couldn't believe she got lost so easily. She was on the right track at first and she must have gotten distracted by something.
Oh... That's right. There was a stray dog, and I tried to follow it. Now, I'm here.. Haku blinked as she saw a boy hanging from a branch and a burly man with a sword ahead of her. Ugh, really? The black-haired girl withdrew her katana and walked towards the man. "Hey! What exactly do you think you are doing to that kid? Step away from the tree and go back to the filthy hole you crawled out of. I'm already lost and now I have to deal with pathetic scum such as yourself picking on a kid that doesn't have anything to defend himself with. You are nothing but a coward."

MAPS CAN BE POEMS WHEN YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN | I watched as a woman lumbered up. I blinked with curiosity as she yelled. What a ferocious temper. The bandit seemed to hold a recognition of who she was before shrinking back and turning to run. I laughed as he ran away, his figurative tail in between his chunky legs. My fingers broke contact with the branch and I dropped. A jarring of force was sent up my shins, shocking me for a moment. I looked over to the woman and gave her a smile.
"My complexion must be good if you think I'm a kid," I said as I slapped both hands on my cheeks. I paused to look her over. She didn't exactly look like a villager of any sort, obtrusive to say the most. "Lost, are we?" I asked, giving a sly grin. "I can take you where you need to go, but at a cost." I gave a little wink before continuing. "You need to give me a smile and I can lead you anywhere you'd like!"

Pathetic... Absolutely pathetic.. she thought to herself as the man ran off. It was such a pity. She almost felt sorry for the low life. ALMOST! Haku twirled around on her heels and placed her right hand on her hip, looking at the boy that was laughing. Hopefully, it wasn't some kind of trap they set up. "Well, I'm glad to see that you are alright." Uh-oh. She was just being smooth about it at first. She rolled her eyes as the boy bragged about his complexion being good if she mistook him for a kid. Guys bragged too much about their looks.
Haku put her katana back into its sheath then she felt like pulling it out again. Ji-tae told her to smile first and he would take her wherever she wanted. "W-What are you talking about? Why do I have to smile for you?" This is ridiculous. I'm not going to smile for him, am I? It wasn't too hard to smile. She could even fake one. She had been doing it for quite a while and barely anyone noticed. Haku looked away from Ji-tae and hid behind her black curtain of hair. "This is stupid..."

MAPS CAN BE POEMS WHEN YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN | I snickered and waved a hand nonchalantly. "Well, all I had to do was hang in there for a while, Miss." I was expecting a slap for a pun as brilliant as that one. I frowned at her response to my request. I let out a puff of air and sucked on my cheeks, looking like a ridiculous fish. "Smiles are nice. People who smile are nice; therefore, if you don't smile, you aren't nice. I only help people who're nice!" I waggled a finger for emphasis and put a hand on my nonexistent hip.
"It isn't stupid! Did you help me just to be mean? Although, you'd probably be happier if I helped you... too bad you won't be happy then." I shook my head as if it was a shame before turning away. "Too bad for you. There are a lot of bandits and a lot of twists in turns. Sad that you don't have a guide." I looked over my shoulder to give her a bright smile.

What was up with that guy? He didn't seem to care at all about what happened. Of course, Haku wouldn't go running up to her savior and crying her eyes out. That just wouldn't be like her. It was unnecessary as well. But, he seemed apathetic during that situation. She looked at Ji-tae in the corner of her eye as he puffed up his cheeks. That's what she normally does when she pouts or gets upset. He was kind of funny.. and cute.
Then, he started to push it a little too far. It wasn't because she wasn't happy. She just didn't have time for people like that. It irritated her. Haku giggled to herself softly and a small smile crept up on her face behind her black hair. But, she didn't want him to see that. "I'm sure I'll be fine." she said and turned to face him with her small smile that had gotten a little bigger. "I'll just chase them around with my katana." Like I used to do with Ryuuki...
