Meeting the Dragon!

[Hyo-rin Sŏyun]

Hyo-rin made her way to the lake. He eyes widened in amazement when she came closer towards it. "It's so pretty!" She exclaimed aloud in awe. She sat by the water and lay down. She relaxed and felt herself become calm as the sun beat down on her face.

"This place is so nice."

Shin-ah had decided that he would go enjoy a day beside the lake. He really had nothing better to do. He was crouched down, his fingers brushing the ground for Ao to climb up his arm and rest on his shoulder. Soon, he was by the lake, and he noticed a woman there. He paused, staring at her through his mask.

[Hyo-rin Sŏyun]

She opened her eyes and got up but sat down. She looked around and saw a man with a mask. She got up and debated to herself whether to walk over or not. She was curious and a little excited, he looked like some person from one of those masked festivals or something.

She walked over and waved. "Hello there!"

[Shin-ah]

Shin-ah stayed still as she approached him. Was she part of his tribe? If so, she was clearly a new person, for she didn't seem frightened of him. The eighteen-year-old just gave a small nod, bells jingling with his mask. "You aren't afraid."

PYXIS ★

[Hyo-rin Sŏyun]

"Afraid?" She cocked her head to the side, her bands falling into place on her face. "Why would I be?" She examined the man and his mask. "Your mask is really neat! The fur on the back looks so fluffy!" She exclaimed with a big smile on her face.

"My name is Hyo-rin! It's nice to meet you. I was originally from the lightning tribe but my mother moved to this tribe a few days ago."

[Shin-ah]

Shin-ah resisted the urge to laugh. Yes, she was new. She didn't know him. "The villagers haven't gotten to you yet." he whispered, mainly talking to himself. If anything, this would be a good time to actually make a friend. "Uh, thanks?"

Shin-ah gave a bow to her. "Shin-ah. That explains why you don't know."

PYXIS ★

[Hyo-rin Sŏyun]

"Haven't gotten to me? What do you mean?" She was curious as to what he was getting at. "No problem!" She knew he sounded a little.. off with the thanks, her comment probably wasn't entirely normal. "Shin-ah, huh? That's a nice name." She smiled and pointed to the river.

"Isn't it pretty?" She looked back at him. "What do I not know about?"

[Shin-ah]

Shin-ah looked at the river, though it looked like he was staring at nothing. He didn't say anything, just giving a nod. He enjoyed coming here with Ao. "The Blue Dragon's tale. They say the dragon is cursed because of his ability to drain a human of water with a single glance."

PYXIS ★

[Hyo-rin Sŏyun]

She cocked her head. "Hmm.. That might scare a child, but not the great Hyo-rin!" She put her arms to her side and stood proudly. "I'd love to meet this blue dragon! I'm sure he must be lonely if the locals are so scared of this story..." She returned to her normal stance.

"I grew up with the former yellow dragon, dragons don't scare me." She grinned.

[Shin-ah]

Shin-ah listened to her speak, giving a small laugh that held no humor. "Trust me, he is." he murmured, looking at the ground. He heard Ao make a chirping noise, and he looked up, stroking his squirrel.

"Grew up? Then you knew him?"

[Hyo-rin Sŏyun]

"Then I'll track him down and make him be my friend! He must not be used to making friends so I'll have to help him out a little. He must not smile a lot because everyone must make him feel sad? Maybe I'll even crack a few jokes for him." She laughed.

"Mhm! He's my father. The current yellow dragon is my cousin."

[Shin-ah]

Shin-ah stood still for a few minutes, letting her words sink in. Was she joking? Or was she serious. The Blue Dragon felt a single teardrop fall down his cheek. He quickly brushed it away, acting like it was a bug or something.

"Nam is your cousin? He never told me that."

PYXIS ★

[Hyo-rin Sŏyun]

She saw him brush his hand across his face. She approached him a bit and examined his face. "Hey, you okay?" She didn't seem him crying but she wasn't sure why he had done that. "Did a fly try to land on your face?"

She crossed her arms defiantly. "Just squish 'em! Splat they go and no more worries." She smiled. "Nam? Yep. How rude of him not to mention me. Hmph.. I'll have to kick his butt for that."

[Shin-ah]

Shin-ah just shook his head. "I'm okay." he said. "I guess he deserves it. He's probably one of my only friends. He was the one that made me want to get Ao." He reached for his face, touching the mask with his hands. He then decided to pull it over his face, holding it by his side. He blinked, eyes adjusting to the light.

"I decided I would tell you now before you look for him. I am the Blue Dragon."

PYXIS ★

[Hyo-rin Sŏyun]

"Okay good." Her smile as innocent and she nodded her head. "He does. Oh, Ao? Who's that." She hadn't yet noticed the squirrel with him, which was funny because she took a liking to animals, maybe not as much as Nam, but she still loved to be around them.

"That's you? Well I guess you are the one I'm going to be making friends with." She was slightly caught off guard. He took off his mask and she remembered the tale he told her but for some reason she didn't seem to react. "It's nice to meet you, Shin-ah the blue dragon."
