stay back. Shin-ah pointed to the squirrel on his shoulder. "This is Ao." Ao made his squeaky-chiriping noises. He lifted the mask, pulling it back over his head.
"You don't have to call me the Blue Dragon." he said.

She noticed the small squirrel. "Awe! He's adorable! That's an odd name for him.. Some how it doesn't suit him. Yet it works." Her grin was sheepish and she noticed him put back on his mask. "If you ever want to take your mask off around me, don't hesitate. I know the tale and all but I don't mind the risk if it'll make you more comfortable."
Her smile turned into yet another grin. "Don't worry I was going to call you Shin-ah anyway."

stay back. "You're not the first to say that." He remembered hearing Nam tell him that Ao wasn't a good name to name a fluffy creature. He hesitated at her words, keeping his mask down. "Alright." He looked around for a moment. "Do you want to sit? There's a dock nearby."

"Nam said that? Dammit.. There I go acting like him. We spent a lot of time together as kids so I picked up some of his quirks and they shine through sometimes. It's really annoying." She placed her hand on the back of her head and flashed an embarrassed smile.
"Sure, that sounds good. Lead the way!"

stay back. Shin-ah shrugged. "You can't help that. It was how you were raised." He led the way to the docks, stopping beside them. He nodded for her to go first and sit, and he followed shortly, sitting down. He raised his mask, letting it rest of the top of his head. His dragon-like gaze was caught by the water.

She noticed him waiting for her to sit. "Why thank you." She sat down and looked out at the water. "This is why I love the water tribe so far. Water is so beautiful, especially when it reflects the sky. Either night, or day. But it's especially unique during the sunset."
She seemed a little calmer now. Hyo-rin always seemed a little more tranquil by the water.

stay back. Shin-ah looked at her, curiosity in his dragon-like eyes. "You seem to be like the members of our tribe. Are you sure you were raised in the Lightning Tribe?" He was just joking, of course. But, he hardly joked, so it may have sounded like a questioning comment.
"I think you'll like it here."

"Maybe that's why my mother decided to move here. My father isn't doing to well I hear." She shrugged. "I was raised there and I lived on the farm with my father and mother. There's a lot of animals there." She noted aloud with a smile forming again. "My mother was originally from the water tribe but she had moved to the lightning tribe. So of course that was a marriage that was frowned upon." She explained.
"I like it here already! I've made a new friend, I think. You should meet him sometime y'know. He wears a mask, his hair is blue and he's got this cute little squirrel. Oh and he's also the blue dragon." She was obviously talking about him.

stay back. Shin-ah glanced at her, blinking his eyes in slight confusion. "Are your parents not ... together?" He wasn't sure how to phrase the question without sounding rude or nosey. Usually it would make sense for parents to split up and move tribes. But, he wasn't sure if her parents were together or not.
"Who-" He cut off, realizing that she was talking to him. He looked away from her, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. "Well, maybe I'll meet him."

"Hmm.. I actually don't know. They haven't said much about it to me. They didn't fight much and they may even still be together but I think my mother just missed the water tribe is all." She shrugged. "She grew up here as a kid, so I understand where she's coming from to a certain extent." She shrugged.
"I'm sure if you meet him you'll find him as interesting as I do! He's quite the catch." She winked an eye teasingly.

stay back. Shin-ah gave a hmm sound, shrugging. He didn't know what it was like to have parents, let alone how they act. "Maybe she was homesick." he murmured. What's it like to have parents? The closest thing I had to a parent was Ao. He wasn't a great one.
As she spoke, his burning went to blush, making his whole face practically beet red. He made sure he was distracted by something, giving a tiny chuckle. "R-really now?"

"Probably. She talked about the water tribe a lot. I was surprised we hadn't moved sooner." She could remember when her mother would speak of the coursing water through the territory and the beautiful views the water's reflection gave off.
"Hmph." She put her hands on her hips. "You should really ask him. But I guess I can tell you." She grinned. "He's nice and kind unlike what a lot of people say around here. He's also not scary at all. He's almost calming." She nodded. "He reminds me of the water."

stay back. Shin-ah just nodded, pausing before he spoke again. "Your father is still in the Lightning Tribe, yes? How is it that he is not in control? Did he lose his powers?"
Shin-ah's mind began to nervously play with the water in front of them, making different shapes and waves. "I wouldn't think calming." he murmured. He glanced at her, blinking. "You are certainly different from the others."

"Yes, he is. Well he's getting a little run down. I'm not sure if he's ill or what's going on. It may have to do with the power or not, I really don't know." She shrugged. Of course she was worried but what could she really do?
"Of course he is! Hmm.. Maybe you wouldn't know.. I would of thought you'd have met him at least once." She crossed her arms. "If the tribe weren't afraid of him the girls well they might think he was a looker. Who knows?"

stay back. Shin-ah grunted. Ao had lost his power completely when he died. As he grew blinder, Shin-ah grew more powerful. After his site was totally gone, he had died soon after.
She continued to speak, and Shin-ah just grew more embarrassed. But, after she finished her statement, he froze, looking off in the distance. He could see something threatening to the tribe not far away. Without warning, he jumped up, taking off into the trees. I'll make it up to her. He stole a glance behind him, his eyes almost apologetic before pulling his mask down and running away.
