Nam was able to sneak back into the capital. As the yellow dragon of the Lightning tribe everyone here sought to keep him here and not to let him go out into the outside world where he could get 'hurt'. Which in fact was slightly hypocritical seeing as he was the tribe's protection.
His duck Gook sat on his shoulder with its little bowtie and quacked happily as they got home. The 21 year old boy dropped a bag of stuff and stretched his arms. "That was a good trip." He yawned.

"Oh hush you mustn't fret I can handle myself children honestly." came a soft females voice as a twenty year old tribe leader stood her big green dress flowing onto the ground. She sighed and blinked her blue eyes and turned her head to see her yellow dragon Nam. "Nam, tell them I can go for a walk. I won't leave the village or anything, honestly the towns folk are too protective." she muttered and blinked her eyes.
"Oh my, you look tired. Have you not slept?" she questioned.
"Huh? Oh, hello Min-seo." He greeted with a small wave of his hand. He smiled and a small laugh was audible. "She'll be fine. Besides if anyone comes to this village to hurt Min-seo I'll beat the crap outta 'em." He clenched his fist with a small grin.
"They are just worried. Tensions are rising with there being no one to rule the throne currently.." He explained with a shrug. "..Tired? Hahahahah! Me?" He laughed loudly and tried to make it sound convincing.
"Not at all. I uh... Saw some bandits trying to steal from a little girl and had a little fun with them." He lied. "Allow me to escort you on your stroll to ease the worry of the people." He knelt on one knee in a bow.

Sighing, she made her way by him and looked at them. "If it would make you feel better he will accompany me on a walk. Honestly though I know to handle a cantata." she said and looked over to him with a gentle smile as she moved her bangs out of her bangs. "Would you mind a short walk, i'm tired of being trapped." she muttered.
Then she nodded "I know their worries, its quiet okay." she said and then grinned, he was always so suspicious towards her in the ways of being tired. But she liked that. She tilted her head to listen to his explanation to looking weary and then nodded. "Very well but if you get tired, I ask that you take a nap. Honestly." she said with a grin then smiled. "I would enjoy that very much." she nodded her head and then turned. "Everyone return to their duties please, Nam will protect me."
"That's fine." He nodded. "A nap sounds really good." He yawned. "But I don't really have the time for that." The yellow dragon glanced around the capital and gave a small sigh. "I've got an issue that's on a more personal level. Some numbskull has started an absurd rumour about me. Claiming hanging around me brings good fortune and wealth. They've given me a nickname and I've got people bugging me more than usual." He muttered.
"Just this morning a woman asked if I'd take her daughter's hand in marriage." He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "I was out of there so fast I didn't even get a chance to ask why but it was obviously for that reason." A small laugh was audible.
"Min-seo, you know how to handle a sword, right?" He gripped the handle of his sword. "This morning I finished forging a new sword. The handle was a gift from my grandfather for my 21st birthday, he said it was my father's." He explained.
"..Just something I've been up to. How have you been?"

She turned to him and put her hands in her dress-pockets as she blinked her light-blue eyes. "Honestly Nam you work yourself much to hard. Rest after we return, the guards can protect me while you rest." she said and then sighed as she heard about the rumor. "Horrible. Horrible I say.. I'm so sorry Nam." she said and then thought back to her past, she did have a arranged marriage but the male died before they even met, sense then shes never had any idea for more love.
The female laughed. "Oh come now! I highly doubt it was just for your wealth, you got to remember you are one of the more good looking of the town and have the less dull personality." she said as she grinned. "I get why you ran though." she said nodding her head.
"Correct, I did take lessons with weapons before I got named tribe leader. I do best with swords." she said and then looked over at his handle. "Oh ya, your birthday was recently right? What a lovely gift." she said and she loooked back at the road ahead.
"I wasn't given the blood of a dragon just to laze my way through everything." He added. "I'm already starting to recover from any injuries. I went to the Remedy Stop and treated my wounds. Things have been quiet lately and the worst I've seen is a couple of bandits. One decided to give me an arrow to the knee but I returned him the favour." Nam didn't have any hesitance in killing someone. It was something he just did naturally.
"I'm not wealthy, but according to this rumour if you stick around me you'll be lavished in gold and jewels. Seems the 'golden' dragon is more popular than the yellow." He scoffed.
"...N-Not so loud, leader! People might get the wrong idea.." He touched his face to feel himself be a bit flushed. "Comments like that catch me off guard.." He touched his forehead and let his bangs fall over his eyes.
"My father died in a war. Grandpa says he used this very handle for his blade." He grinned. "Hmm.. If you are trying to settle in you should visit some of the local places sometime. I've visited a few of them during some jobs."

"Even a dragon needs rest sometime Mr. Stubborn." she said with a grin. "Very well as long as you got checked I suppose.." she muttered and looked down. Then she looked at him with wide eyes "A-AH! Are you sure your ok to even be walking Nam?!" she questioned with large eyes. She was always considered about her best friend, specially in these cases. He was special to her.
The girl rolled her eyes "I much like Golden Dragon rather then yellow dragon, it fits you better but." she shrugged. She sighed "The rumor will die down soon however." she said and stared at him with a very gentle smile.
"Oh Nam!" she said with laughter "The worse they think is I have a major crush on my protector I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time." she said and then giggled as she saw him blush. "You can be so adorable at times." she teased.
Then she pursed her lips together "Perhaps, if I have time." she said and then grinned "What a high honor by the way."
She then looked at him. "Oh, and Nam? I know you went to the water tribe, the dragon of the water tribe was in the town 'shopping' and told me when I confronted him."
"I can walk perfectly fine. Don't worry I ripped the arrow out of my knee when it made contact. Plus I made sure all the poison is out of my system." He gave a light shrug. "I was a bit tipsy from it but it was nothing deadly, at least.. I guess not to me?" He laughed as if it were nothing.
"As long as I don't get any more women beckoning me for marriage I think I'll do just fine." Her next words made him flinch. "-..! How do you take that so lightly.. Bad rumours are bound to erupt from that.. Jeez.." He rose a brow when she called him cute.
"I'm called the yellow dragon, not the yellow gecko. I'm not supposed to be cute." He rubbed the back of his head. "A few of my jobs lately that people have tried to assign me were.. Assassinations. While I'm not phased by killing anyone these jobs are highly odd."
He looked down at her. "Pfft.. Don't worry I haven't taken any like that." The next thing she said caught him even more off guard. "Dammit Shin-ah!" He muttered to himself. "Tch.. I've got enough strength to fend for myself. Yes, I took a visit to the water tribe."

Min-seo winced "Nam, you hurt me every time I hear a story about you tearing something straight out of your skin, I would be crying forever. But I suppose its good you are ok." she said and then blinked her eyes with a sigh. The female shook her head "Don't go getting yourself, I won't have my best friend and my guardian dying on me." she said with a huff.
With a tease, she nudged up against him. "Oh come now Nam! We talked of marriage when were younger, let us make it happen so I can get showered." a glint of laughter in her eyes as she turned to him with that mischievous grins as she brought memories from the past. She narrowed her eyes.
"I take everything lightly you know this, why do you think I never date they always think I'm joking." she said and then she chuckled as she grinned at him "Your cute to me you know this!" she said and then shoved him playfully.
"You know we are at war right now Nam you can not do that.."
"I'm sorry you get that feeling. But I'm a guard, I'm bound to get hurt. Death too is not a thing I could avoid either." His eyes widened, but merely in surprise. He turned his head. "Then I must make you cry a lot then." He walked a bit ahead of her and stood in front of her, walking backwards as they continued their stroll.
"Leader, please think of me as but a tool. A tool to survive. Even if I die a new dragon will be born to take over where I left off. Just as I took place of the last yellow dragon." He explained.
"H-Hey! I was a kid! If anything that was just a childhood promise.." He groaned in embarrassment. "Tch.. So you are joking." He covered his face with his arm to hide his pale face becoming slightly rose. "It's not like I'll never get married, if anything my grandfather was urging me to find a wife, but I don't have the time for such unimportant matters." He scoffed.
"Please quit calling me cute." He covered his face with his hand. When she mentioned war he lowered his hand and narrowed his eyes. "Well.. I know there is a bit of uproar about the throne, but I wouldn't label it war yet."

"Death is not happening with me, you are still a young adult and you will live or else." she said staring at him as he began to walk backwards. "Only when gone long periods of time do I worry, I have yet to cry." she said then she rolled her eyes. "Remember what my ma told you? No one's a tool no matter there rank." she huffed.
"No one can replace your place in my book." she said crossing her arms stubbornly. "Noq quit talking of such thing, its stupid." she muttered. She then giggled as he covered his face. "Aweeee your blushing!! Oh? Is it now, cause you told me when you were eight again at ten, and gave me a fake plastic ring as a promise even." she said giggling.
"Hey don't say ever. Love does crazy things Nam!" she huffed and then she laughed "Not happening, your a little cutie-patotie." she cooed as she grinned, This is way to fun she thought.
"Leader, I was given the blood of a dragon to use its power. But there are going to be vengeful people. I've killed a lot of people, many would love to put my head on a stake. I've been injured and luckily I've got enough power where I can outmatch my opponents. But one arrow in the wrong spot, and.. You know what comes after. I won't always be here." He gave a small smile and ruffled her hair teasingly.
"I may be gone longer. I want to go on a journey and travel. I want to see places. For twenty one years I've been secluded to these parts." He looked at her. "I don't remember much of her, but I think I recall her saying that." He put his hand towards the sun and spread his fingers to let light through. "I know you were told one thing. But I need you to think of me as that, and nothing else. Min-seo, listen to me on this one."
He turned his back to her and walked a bit ahead. "No-ooot at all. The sun is getting to me." He turned his head. "..Like I said, a foolish childhood promise. Stuff in the past doesn't mean anything. It was plastic, something you throw out." He rubbed the back of his head.
"I was a kid." He looked back at her. "I'm a lot different than I was then." He shrugged. "Anyone affiliated with me could become in peril with my jobs and duties. I won't put anyone on my boat. It would be selfish." He looked back ahead.
"..I-I'm not cute.." He put his harm back in front of his face.

Fear lit up in her eyes as he explained horrid cases of death. She looked down and gulped. "I'm so sorry .. I don't think you should be thinking of death." she said and went over to him hugging him. I couldn't handle my best friend not being here.. why did he have to be born a dragon... she wondered.
The female huffed "You are so stubborn and dull with attitude Nam, you act like death is a joke that it won't affect anyone when in all reality it will! You don't understand you are loved in this town by all." she said with angered eyes.
Then she huffed again. "Your the yellow dragon the sun is based off of you." she said and shook her head. She held up her hand and on her finger was a little silver plastic ring with a fake diamond on her. "Nam, its not a foolish thing its a lovely memory." she said and giggled.
"It's hard not to think about when it could happen any time. The villagers urge me to stay here, but a part of me wants to leave-" His eyes widened when she hugged him. "What.. Are you doing?" He looked to the side and his bangs covered his eyes. "Leader, the villagers-.. They'll.. They are all staring.." Part of him wanted to console her but he held back. He had to get her to stop caring so much.
"You can't keep feeling like this, if you do, and I do die.." He put a hand on his forehead and grabbed his hair. "You don't understand." He had waited for his father's arrival only for one day to be delivered a letter telling him vaguely that his father had passed, the former yellow dragon had passed.
He rubbed the back of his head. "I wouldn't say that.. I mean maybe but the yellow dragon was just yellow. I'm pretty sure it was lightning." He blinked and looked at the ring.
"..You still have that!? And.. Wear that!? ... What exactly do you tell people.. It's.. ON YOUR RING FINGER.. That tells people you are married Min-seo. That finger is for a wedding ring.. Wearing that there is like saying you are engaged or married to me!"
He gave a heavy sigh. "Are you that clueless.." He shook his head. "Hmph.. Why am I awful?"
