She realized in fact villagers were staring. The female blushed and backed away from him looking down at the ground "S-Sorry Nam.." she whispered and looked down. She gripped her arm and sighed. "Just worried I suppose and you can't fix it."

The female looked at him and frowned "It'll be my own mess" she said and then sighed. "I'll try to calm down, for you Nam." she said again and looked up as he freaked out.

"A-AH! I was told to wear it on this finger by my best friend!" She cursed "Damn you.. Nakshimi.." she muttered and slid it off putting it on her index finger and then sighed. "I kept it for memories and when you die, if you die, its being buried with you." she muttered.

"Your stubborn is all."

He sighed. "It's fine." He shrugged. "I've mostly gotten used to tribe gossip. People have probably gotten the wrong idea about us before." He blinked. 

"I guess.. I can't really stop you from feeling something. As much as I ask you to think of me as a tool for survival I think you'll only be able to do so if you were willing to." He let out another sigh. "I'd of thought you would of thrown that old thing out. It was just some junky toy I won at one of the festivals.. It wasn't anything entirely special, but then I guess you find it otherwise." He looked at the ring. 

"I think that friend might of been playing you.. An attempt at a joke or teasing? Especially if she knew I gave it to you. The yellow dragon and the Lightning Tribe's leader engaged? Wouldn't that be juicy gossip for the inhabitants." A half-smile was planted on his face and a small laugh was audible. "If the villagers already started a fuss about the ring tell them it was just a kid's toy and that you don't want to marry me, kay?" He added.

"While there's always a chance I could die I think I'm tough enough to at least last as long as I can." He nodded. "That hasn't changed, it's a trait I proudly accept."

"I honestly don't believe that due to you know they know we grew up together as best friends. Figure we'd stay that. No?" she questioned and looked at him with pursed lips. Then she grinned as he finally gave up.

"Oh Nam, you forget I'm stubborn as they get about my feelings." she said. Then she laughed "It was given to me by you, of course its special. Just some carnival toy or not." she said as she looked over at the villagers whom had gathered in a circle around them.

"Listen children. This ring is plastic it is a memory from my child hood and a friend of mine was playing a trick on me. Both me and the yellow dragon remain single and are not engaged." she explained as the group started to break and she turned back to him.

"That sounds of Nakashimi." she muttered. Then she laughed "Look whos trying to embarrass me now Nam!" she said and then she blinked her eyes "Your tougher than most I know." she said with a nod of her head.

"I guess that's true.. But I don't want you to be crying if something ever happened to me, or to get upset whenever I get hurt. Because I don't want to be responsible for any tears." He placed his hand on his face in frustration.

"I won it during that really stupid game.. Bobbing for some fruit or something.. The other kids were getting pissed off because they thought I was trying to show off." He scoffed. He blinked in confusion when she actually did confront the villagers. "Wow when did they start swarming.. Hey you don't actually have to-" He let her say her piece and gave a shrug.

"Well that fixes that then." He laughed. "Also yeah I'm able to hold my own. With or without the ability of a dragon I can suffice on my own strength."

"That is not a promise I can make Nam, you know this." she said and then stared over at him with a frown. "You know I will cry if I ever lose you." she said crossing her arms as she continued walking forward her blue eyes looking ahead of her as she sighed.

"Its cause I was in the back cheering for you, you remember?" she questioned. She then blinked her eyes and turned to look at him. "Its ok Nam.. their gone." she muttered and then nodded. "I trust you."
