Hachiro retreated into the ring of trees that surrounded the training grounds, plopping down with an exhausted sigh. The sun was high in the middle of the sky, and he'd been training all morning. He didn't have a need for training - he was quite experienced with a sword, in fact - but he had gotten it into his head that it would be good to practice. When he had gotten there, it was empty. People were just beginning to trickle in. There were weapons provided, but the tribe leader preferred to use his own sword. It had been passed down for generations, given to him by his father before he died, and given to his father by his grandfather, and so on. He wiped a thin line of sweat off his forehead, taking a sip of water, which he had taken with him. When he looked back up, it wasn't hard to make out a figure heading towards Hachiro. He recognized the mask almost instantly. He put a hand on his forehead to shade his eyes and prevent the sun from blinding him. "Shin-ah." |

stay back.  Shrieks and cries came from the capital as Shin-ah walked out of his home in the temple, which wasn't much of a temple. It was more like a beautiful palace with a dark, cold cave beneath it. His mask covered his face, and his face was expressionless. He ignored the whispers and calls at him as he walked to the training area, seeing that his leader was there.
His vision was very extensive, and he knew within a second that it was Hachiro. The leader spoke to the Blue Dragon, and Shin-ah stopped, his masked face staring in the direction of the man. |

Hachiro reached over to pet Yuuki, who raised his head in want for a scratch. He smiled over at the puppy before returning his blue-green eyes back to Shin-ah. He waved him over. "Don't just stand there staring at me, come over!" He was unlike the other people - he wasn't frightened of Shin-ah, he didn't care if he was the 'cursed one'. He poured a little water onto the panting Yuuki's head, who jumped back and barked playfully. He laughed, picking up a nearby stick and throwing it into the trees for the puppy. stay back. Shin-ah blinked behind the mask, almost shocked. He looked around, the white fur on his mask shaking before he walked over. He also thought that the leader was always a little bit weird, different from the other villagers. He didn't hate him. |

Hachiro watched as Shin-ah made his way towards him, as the puppy returned. "You do talk, don't you?" He regarded the dragon, raising his pale eyebrows. stay back. The man stopped, blinking behind the wood. "Why?" he asked. He looked around again, grabbing the hilt of his sword before drawing it. He looked down at it, touching the blade. |

Hachiro glanced at the puppy before responding. "He said you were adopting a pet, and wanted to know if you ended up getting one," he tilted his head. "Did you?" He inquired curiously. He moved over. "Here. Sit. I haven't spoken to you in a while, and when ever we have spoken, it has only about things concerning the throne and such," he shrugged. NOTES // WORDS // tags // BOINK OF GS |

stay back. Someone really needs to put a bell on Nam. He goes everywhere alone. He'll get himself killed one day. His head jerked up, the fur bouncing behind him. He dropped his gaze, sheathing the sword. "I did." he said. Talk? What is there to talk about? |

stay back. Shin-ah just nodded behind his mask. Without speaking, he turned around, running away from Hachiro. He entered his cave, crouching down to scoop up a somewhat less skinny Ao. He returned within minutes, holding the ginger squirrel in his palms. |

Hachiro tilted his head as Shin-ah left. Where is he going? But it wasn't long before he returned, holding a squirrel in his hands. The leader grinned. "He certainly is fluffy," he chuckled, looking down at Yuuki who had his ears perked and head tilted curiously. "Does he get along with dogs?" NOTES // WORDS // tags // BOINK OF GS |

stay back. Shin-ah brought Ao closer to him, keeping him distanced from the dog. He wasn't sure how the squirrel would react, but he didn't want to find out. He just shrugged. |

stay back. Shin-ah still had his hands wrapped protectively around Ao. He opened his hands more, placing the squirrel on his shoulder. It may a squeaking noise, and Shin-ah gave a small smile. "I suppose." |

Hachiro smiled as Shin-ah placed the squirrel on his shoulder. He reached out his slim fingers for the squirrel to see before petting his head gently. He's soft. Yuuki looked up at Ao hopefully, but the man gave a small shake of his head. "No, Yuuki." He gave a soft laugh. "What made you decide to get a pet?" NOTES // WORDS // tags // BOINK OF GS |
